Rasa and Xchange

Just if any of you wonder what this is about, mail me or look at the n5m
site www.n5m.org
As I did not like the invisible organisation of Xchange in Linz, I have
taken the liberty to publish all mail to this list. Just a small and
harmless intervention :) I consider you all part of the project
Xchange. If you want to contact me don't do it via Xchange though, I am
not there. I left it because of all this invisibility of important or
interesting communication. Exchanging information is something I
treasure, certainly about (net.)radio. No judgement, not anymore anyway.

>there also will be Interfund Launch meeting at n5m,
>>http://www.n5m.org/n5m3/pages/interf.htm
>>which also will be broadcasted live into the net
Sorry, who will broadcast that? Will you do it yourself? We have a
lot of stuff to cover. Let's discuss it when you get here. We will
try to get an audio base in the Balie also, but anyway you will probably
be able to set up a laptop with RA. The main studio is in Paradiso,
the building next door.

>>Interfund meeting is interested in collaboration with Streaming Media
>>workshop+forum
This will not be possible, it makes no sense either, unless you stick to
the topic of practical technology heavily. You can of course announce
your meeting in your talk, but the workshop is about technical issues of
streaming media, and could cover the technical aspects of connections
to ether and other media also.

It will be much more relaxed to be able to concentrate well on both
the forum and the workshop, in between all other very interesting
stuff going on, so it is best they are on seperate days.
Otherwise the discussion will be one 'pot of mashed potatoes'.
Would not want a technical workshop on sundaymorning either, right ?
That would be the only option.

>i would like to propose to make xchange meeting and discussion concerning
>these questions during Interfund workshop and later to present some more
>concrete ideas or to continue the discussion in Streaming Media workshop,
>(sunday?)
interfund meeting is scheduled on Sunday, workshop on Saturday. It was
quite a hassle to get the schedule together, so I'ld really rather not
mix it all up again. The Streaming Media Forum is scheduled Sunday,
but it is not an interfund meeting. It can of course be mentioned,
in the audience debate afterwards, but I am in this part of the dialogue
mostly interested in the Orang software/plan. Interfund = general funding
strategy, not about streaming media per se, right?

>>there are some topics we also should discuss there - like <next
>>acoustic.space issue + xchange@aef'98 cd publishing>, <real-audio and/or
>>art servers network development>, and some other things concerning on-line
>>softwares (like irational. live schedule calendar, orang.orang.org,
>>'acoustic.space' on-line version, etc.) and any other topics somebody
>>prefers to discuss about ;-)

I suggest you make the Interfund meeting an Xchange meeting, as I do not
find it wise or desirable to make the entire streaming debates xchange
centred. With all due respect: you are not the only project there.

regards and of course looking forward to y'all.
