wouldn't be micro FM be a useful for the people in the current
crisis area? exchanging the voice of america with the voices
of balkania.

just yesterday a big london based world service reported
that refugees in macedonia demand a radio station to
be placed at the border to kosovoa.

after listening to the banff summit and the formidable
freeb92 24h live set. (applause! applause!) some questions
arised, i am sorry, but i insist on the right to dream:

- what would be the lowest possible cost and configuration
for a micro fm station with semi-permanent net connection.

- how could the architecture of such a decentralizen,
multinodal, open radio network could look like?

- how it's interfaces would be defined, how can it be
kept in a flat hirarchy and as an inherently democratic tool.
  (and not just 'tribal')

- who'd like to run such small stations?

- it is possible that propaganda has something to do with
the centralisation of media and the redundancy of
  messages?

- the scheduler at irational.org and the xchange page and
the 24h time zone streaming concept already show a clear
pragmatic direction how to represent small media channels without
loosing contact with the roots/sources. what could be the missing
links to the terrorized territory we're focusing our attention
  on since weeks now?
