Subject: AtoMIC Interactive device at IRCAM

AtoMIC Pro will be demonstrated during next Ircam's Agora Festival in
Studio D on June 26 and 27. AtoMIC is a performance-to-MIDI interface that
allows a performer to convert the output from a wide variety of mechanical
sensors (including FSR, piezo, etc.) to a MIDI message. AtoMIC contains 32
analog inputs, 8 digital inputs, and 8 MIDI outputs, and can be configured
with an LCD screen and 7-key keyboard to save up to 20 different patches
which can be dynamically loaded during a performance. It is also designed
for the best programability with MAX (Opcode/IRCAM). AtoMIC is
self-contained and does not need a host system. It has been tested in
several IRCAM performances.

AtoMIC advertised price is US$799. A kit with FSR and piezo sensors can be

AtoMIC Pro sera présenté dans différents contextes interactifs durant le
Festival Agora de l'IRCAM (Studio D, Journées Portes Ouvertes du 26 et 27
juin). AtoMIC Pro est une nouvelle interface entre le monde des capteurs et
celui du MIDI. Ce boitier s'utilise de manière autonome par un clavier
intégré mais a également été concu pour être facilement programmable avec
le logiciel MAX (Opcode/IRCAM), pour différents types de capteurs
mécaniques et avec 32 entrées analogiques, 8 entrées numériques et 8
sorties MIDI. Il a été testé avec succès pendant un an pour plusieurs
concerts de l'IRCAM.
