REVOLUTIONARY ROMANTIC POETRY:

REVOLUTION is radical fundamental changes in the course of events,
phenomena, processes; a sudden spasmodic transition from one state to
another, a turning- point, an overturn, reorganization, conducted in a
short period of time and giving positive results.

ROMANTICISM is a person's world outlook, attitude to the world, his/her
position on what is happening, that is manifested through nourishing high
lofty ideals, feeling stronger emotions, visionary contemplation,
idealization of reality, irony and believing into miracles.

POETRY is art of word.


The notions of Revolution and Romanticism do not merge into one; on the
contrary, there is a subtle difference, discrepancy between them.
Revolution is a real act towards real objects and circumstances, a
struggle, an overturn that pursues precise and definite aims. Romantic
ideals seem vague obscure deeply private belonging to the inner world,
compared to external nature of revolutionary ideals. Revolutionary
reorganization and romantic ideals are both caused by one and the same
desire of a human to perfect oneself, to improve a current situation; this
desire, after all, unites Revolution and Romanticism. Scientific,
Technical, Social, Economic, Religious, Sexual Revolutions are carried out
by ardent revolutionaries romantics, guided by the lofty ideals of heroism,
selfless serving social welfare, wholehearted self-sacrificing for the high
ideal. Most of the revolutionary reorganizations undoubtedly lead the human
society
to a new step of evolution.

COMMENTARY:

 The Festival is planned to be carried out on May,1, 2001, St. Petersburg,
Russia.

The Festival is the continuation and development of the revolutionary and
dramatic traditions of St. Petersburg.
.
 THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SOUND REVOLUTIONARY ROMANTIC POETRY is
supposed to become the annual poetic festival; the development of modern
telecommunications and digital systems will allow the Festival to become a
world- wide event.
 
THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SOUND REVOLUTIONARY ROMANTIC POETRY is the
festival of 'acoustical' poetry; printed texts will be used only for
transmission of general information.       

THE FESTIVAL will take place in real as well as in virtual space; at the
moment organizers are designing the web-site devoted to the Festival;
negotiations with internet-providers and owners of concert halls are
conducted; some formal agreements have been made, but, anyway, everything
will depend on a public concern.

The preparations for the Festival are made by the members of the Poetic
Junction  ?DRELI KUDA POPALO?, who do not have much experience in
organizing activities like this one. This is the first festival and it
should be considered experimental.

The first press-conference will take place in the TECHNO-ART-CENTRE office
( Pushkinskaya 10)

 REQUIREMENTS:

  Only acoustical poetry with revolutionary or romantic or revolutionary-
romantic spirit will be presented at the Festival. The revolutionary motif
may be expressed not only in content but also in the manner of
presentation.

To be considered, the works of candidates may be presented orally, on any
audio- \ video-carriers, in print, or by phone.
 
The dead-line is on April,10, 2001.

The participants are not provided with transportation and accommodation.

The decisions about participation are made by DRELI KUDA POPALO without any
explanation.

The Festival will consist of 3 parts: 
1-	Revolutionary Romantic poems especially selected by the authors
2-	Poems that will win the recognition of the audience 
3-	Free recitations
The Festival will last 2-3 days.

General information:


 THE POETIC JUNCTION DRELI KUDA POPALO (DKP) is a combination of views,
ideas, wishes, illusions, actions.

The association was established in May, 1998, in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The first line-up ? 7 people; currently the association consists of 6
people.
Genre ? POPULAR URBAN POETRY.

The DKP's production is HAPPENING at the level of acoustical poetic
utterance, combined with musical and noise compositions, video- and
photo-performance, stage (physical) actions and any other expressive means.

DKP do not pursue any artistic or aesthetic aims, do not support any
creative philosophical scientific or social concepts strategies and tactics
deliberately; at the same time DKP do not exclude a possibility of using
certain methods and technologies in their artistic experiments.

The main motifs of THE POETIC ASSOCIATION: Dissatisfaction, Obsession,
Happiness, Passion, Fury, Love, Pain, Loneliness, Boredom, Protest.

First, DRELI KUDA POPALO are not gays. Second, DRELI KUDA POPALO are not
poets. They are super-poets, that's what they are. The Poetic Association,
that consisted of 8 people before and now consists of 6 people. Generally
speaking, DRELI KUDA POPALO make good poetry. Worthy poetry. That's it.

DRELI KUDA POPALO is the poetic association of unconventionally thinking
people, who want to promote promote and promote everything they can. DRELI
KUDA POPALO is beer mixed with champagne, it is so aesthetic, it is so
elegant.

DRELI KUDA POPALO is utmost bullshit, such absolute degeneration and such
complete decadence.
