Tech Benefiting Humanity Awards

The Tech Museum of Innovation Awards will draw global attention to
individuals, companies, and organizations using technology to transform the way
we live. In keeping with The Tech's mission, the awards will show the profound
impact technological innovation can have when applied creatively to solve
significant challenges. Each year awards will be presented in five universal
categories: Health, Education, Environment, Economic Development, and Equality.
Up to five finalists in each category will be honored, and one finalist per
category will receive $50,000 at the annual Awards gala.

The Awards will celebrate the successful implementation of a new technology or 
a novel implementation of technology when it is made accessible and useful. The 
Tech Museum of Innovation Awards will spotlight promising, new applications 
that have a high potential to have a lasting, beneficial impact. While other 
awards are conferred at the culmination of a career or once an accomplishment 
has become well known, these awards are intended to publicize recent success 
stories and breakthroughs.  

The concept for the Awards and the five universal categories were inspired in 
part by the 15 challenges described in Global Challenge for Humanity from the 
United Nations Millennium Summit 2000. The Tech Museum of Innovation Awards 
will reward people and organizations that have harnessed the power of 
technology to serve human needs.  

Call for Nominations

The Tech and its partners are seeking nominations by anyone who can identify a 
worthy candidate, including self-nominations. Nominations can be submitted 
online or sent by mail or fax

will be contacted and invited to submit an Application for the Awards.
