(Xchange) RSFR Playlist for 10/03/01
Tonight was a good show, we had another caller, as well as a personal
e-mail saying "Great show, nice selections." Well, they said more than
that, but this is the part that is easily quotable and relavant to you.
I played a LOT of U.S. Maple tonight, probably more than normal, but I
have been neglecting them, and they are some of the most amazing
musicians I have met, and they deserve it. If you get a chance to see
them, DO SO! (And no, we're not close personal friends. I just buy the
albums, and enjoy the music.)
Sun Ra - Skylight
John Zorn - Chinatown
Morceaux de Machines - Psalms of Dub
Napalm Jazz - Napalm Noise Machine
Electric Kitten Vomit - Insertion
Snowscreen - Slut
Tom Waits - Earth Died Screaming
U.S. Maple - Songs With No Making Out
U.S. Maple - Through With Six Six Six
U.S. Maple - Babe
Ultra Sound - Untitled Tracks 13 and 12
U.S. Maple - La Click
Z'ev - Where Were You?
Zoviet France - Static Fields
Next week, I am planning to highlight some more free jazz, particularly
a Vandermark 5 recording, as well as something from John Coltrane's last
album. Maybe Roland Kirk. We're also going to be listening to sound art
from a fellow in England, some guitar experiments from Carlos Giffoni,
as well as making a quick visit with Ant-Zen records. Everything else
will be a surprise. Have a great week!
Your host,
DaveX
