re all,

i'm building a radio station, online and onair, that covers part or the
whole area of a small city; there is the possibility to transmit from
uphill placing some antenna there.

my experience is mostly software related, therefore i'm here asking for
some help and suggestions about the cheapest solution that is now
available to build such a thing: i hope to reach to buy parts tomorrow
if some curfew permits it and i reach to pass checkpoints with the
stuff.

now i'm looking thru kits on broadcastwarehouse.com and
irational.org/sic/radio trying to figure out what i really need, to
draft out a specification within tonite to have a 250-300W FM signal and
that should be it.

now some newbie questions, i beg for suggestions:

best to use a 4W PLL (i guess is best case), 1W PLL, or 1W transmitter?
do i need an amplifier for PLL?
how big the amplifier to reach about 300W with 1W PLL transmitter?
anything to say about the cable, if long, that brings the signal to the
antenna?

i'm very sorry if i sound STUPID, feel free to insult badly

thanks in advance to anyone whishing to help,
inscialla'
