The on air and on line project "Farewell Lament for an Old Family Fridge"
by Arsenije Jovanovic is dedicated to the fridge of the artist's family
which, after it had become useless after more than 30 years of functioning,
was dumped into the sea. There, Arsenije Jovanovic imagines, this
long-lasting diligent family servant might offer various ocean animals
shelter; they would inhabit the fridge, like old ship wrecks, and thereby
lend it a new, second life ...

At the same time, this on air and on line "story" also stands for the
artist's obsession for objects of our everyday life, for his interest in
the relationship we have towards the things which surround us.

"Usually, I hate to tell stories about my acoustic fantasies but I hope
that once you hear (and see) this one you would understand more what I
mean. Since I feel certain sentimentality for an object, I spent a good
part of my life nearby, I find the story could be as important, even more
in this case maybe, as my art work itself." (Arsenije Jovanovic)
