If you dont want to support the CEC and its activities, I suggest now is a goodtime to use your delete button.

Sorry; first I have to support VEC (Vietnamese Electroacoustic Community), BFEC (Burkina Faso Electroacoustic Community) and NEC (Nicaraguan Electroacoustic Community). Then I might look into supporting "project-funded arts services" from rich countries. 120 dollars (a minute), no matter how reasonable may sound to you, is the average three months income of a third world familiy. Imagine how they find your proposal.

I don't mean to sound mean: I just think you canadian electroacoustic guys don't consider a few geopolitical realities. The Xchange mailing list for example is hosted by http://xchange.re-lab.net , based in Latvia (I am not sure but I don't think they have much funds over at the LEC - the Latvian Electroacoustic Community), and reaches a lot of interested people all over the worlds (including the third).

Your "Call for participation" obviously addresses only a very tiny portion of this spectrum (and stirs some reaction in other people). That's all.

Sorry everybody for dragging this thing...
