Australia’s leading music industry associates converge on Melbourne to empower and enlighten prospective musicians and technicians and to share knowledge with those working within the music business.

The AUSMUSIC Forum aims to provide a vibrant meeting place for music professionals, music makers, music educators and music consumers.  The forum will further develop skills in the Australian Music Industry by offering workshops for performers, composers, technicians, business professionals and educators at different levels of their career.

The inaugural AUSMUSIC Forum will be held in Melbourne and aims to become an international meeting place for the music industry.  It is planned that AUSMUSIC Forums will be established in other major cities of Australia.

The Melbourne AUSMUSIC Forum will involve a nine-day program offering a variety of activities, all aiming to build skills, knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for music in all its creations.  The program is based on four areas – performance/composition, technology, business, education and training.  The program has been developed for each area offering workshops for those just getting started through to those who are well established in their careers.

Each day panel sessions will provide the opportunity for participants to discuss key issues relating to the music industry.

There will be showcase performances during the day and evening at the Conference Facility and Federation Square.

Emerging and established artists will have an opportunity to present their music to industry professionals in private mentor sessions or in a feedback performance where they can receive a performance appraisal.

For further information and bookings on the AUSMUSIC Forum, panel sessions and workshop program please go to www.ausmusic.org.au <http://www.ausmusic.org.au/>   or  phone: 03 9696 2422
