<I>Tailler, monter, mixer, fixer, spatialiser... Le son a la puissance du cinéma, il n'en a pas la lourdeur.<BR>
</I><BR>
Parmi les rendez-vous de la creation en France, le concours Phonurgia Nova occupe depuis 1986 une place a part en mettant a l¹honneur les artistes qui explorent <B>le son comme media du reel et de l'imaginaire.</B> En 2003, 150 productions venant de 19 pays ont ete reçues. <BR>
<BR>
Pour cette nouvelle edition, le jury distinguera des auteurs manifestant un sens aigu du son et de l'ecoute comme moyens d'expression, dans deux domaines :<BR>
<BR>
<B>++ARTS DE LA RADIO++ </B>considerera toute forme creative : documentaire, fiction, essais, mix, horspiel, radio experimentale, etc...<BR>
<B>++NOUVEAUX MEDIAS++</B> recompensera des « installations » accordant une place prépondérante au son, ou bien des creations basees sur les nouveaux supports, telephone portable, audioblog, sites explorant la dimension acoustique du web, etc.<BR>
<BR>
Dans chacune des deux categories, le jury considerera deux types de propositions :<BR>
1) des productions finalisees <BR>
2) des projets<BR>
<BR>
(&quot;) Les Prix <BR>
Un Prix Arts de la radio et un Prix Nouveaux medias <B>dotes chacun de 1 500 euros</B>, + <B>3 Résidences de creation</B> au GRM de l'INA, à l'IMEB et au GMVL. <B>10 propositions</B>, ainsi que les créations issues des Residences, feront l'objet d¹une presentation en Arles en 2006 dans le cadre du 3eme Festival de l'Ecoute. D¹autres prix pourront alors s¹ajouter. <BR>

(§) Archives<BR>
Toutes les ¦uvres selectionnees sont conservees pour constituer une archive permanente d'art audio. Ces archives seront ouvertes au public pour une consultation.<BR>

(*) Calendrier <BR>
La date limite de participation est fixee au <B>1er septembre 2005</B>. La proclamation des resultats aura lieu le samedi 1er octobre a la Maison du Geste et de l¹Image, a Paris 1er, a l'occasion de NUIT BLANCHE.<BR>

<I>Chisel, cut, mix, set in space?Sound has the power of the cinema and is lighter<BR>
<BR>
</I>Among the prizes awarded for acoustic creation, the &nbsp;Phonurgia &nbsp;Nova competition has, since 1986, occupied a special place by virtue of its recognition of artists whose work exploits <B>sound as a medium for expressing the real and the imaginary</B>. In 2003, 150 productions from 19 different countries were entered in the prize. <BR>
<BR>
This year's competition will distinguish authors whose work manifests <B>a keen sense of sound and listening as means of expression,</B> on two areas :<BR>
<BR>
<B>RADIO ARTS </B>will privilige all forms of inventive radiophonic creation: documentary, <BR>
fiction, essays, interviews, radio mix, Hörspiel, experimental forms etc.<BR>
<B>NEW MEDIAS</B> awards will go to sound installations or sonic works which have been specially created for &quot;new media&quot; to bring new experiences in sound art to listeners - mobile phone, audioblog, site exploring the acoustic dimensions of the net.<BR>
<BR>
In each category the jury will deliberate on two types of work :<BR>
1)completed productions<BR>
2)projects<BR>
<BR>
(&quot;) Prizes<BR>
One Radio Arts prize and one New Media prize<B> &nbsp;each of 1 500 euros </B>and <B>3 artist's</B> <B>residencies</B> at &nbsp;GRM-INA (Paris), IMEB (Bourges) and GMVL (Lyon), 3 major studios for electronic music and sound art internationaly known. <B>Ten works</B> will be selected for presentation at the <B>third Festival de l'Ecoute</B>, Arles, 2006. Additional prizes could be given at this time. Certain works will be broadcast by the organisations and radio stations associated with the Festival.<BR>
<BR>
(§) Deadline<BR>
The closing date for registration of entries: <B>September 1, 2005</B>. Results will be announced on Saturday, October 1, 2005, in Paris at la Maison du Geste et de l'Image. <BR>
<BR>
(*) Sound archives<BR>
All the materials received will constitue a permanent archive of audio works. This archive will be opened to the public.<BR>
