A computer-generated text "eavesdroping" fictive individuals (media artists) selecting and discussing on hardware for producing media art is the basis of "shopping systems".
For the radio version of "shopping systems", listeners and web-users can participate in the choice of the hardware (the PCs) via an internet page (http://www.augstundbeck.de/pc/). Thus, they are generating the data-base previously as well as at the moment of transmission and during the programme, Augst and Beck discuss about its contents.
In "speech-inserts", the way they dramatically stage their conversation, Augst and Beck play the roles of everyone taking part in the game; they are announcers, curators, and website visitors all at once. Everything has to happen very quickly. For airtime is short, and the list of wishes for PCs is possibly quite long.
