hello all,

for those who like noisy web sites...
point your browsers at:
http://www.beatnik.com
..where you will find plugins that allow you to listen to and add midi based
sound to web pages,
you can also convert the stuff to RMF which is much smaller than standard files,

something called the beatnik actionset makes it simple to add these files using
dreamweaver.
The sites worth a look anyhow, you can see some recent developments in
interactive music
for the web.
Without the plugin, pages do not give errors either.
Could be good for some details on the new Xchange site.

also if you have a really huge appetite for midi info, then check.......

http://www.midi.org - good general midi info.
http://www.resrocket.com - plugin for Cubasis and Pro tools that allows net
connectivity for audio editing, and remote studio access.
http://www.cyber-bp.or.jp/yamaha/midplug/m_list_e.html - free plugin for
browsers for midi sound.
http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/STREAMING_AUDIO_MEDIA/ - list of streaming
audio media including midi stuff.

be well,
m.
