Rasa-
I've noticed that you have sent out a few of these types of notices(below).
I'm wondering if you might be "tapped into " the wrieless creative and technological
developments in Europe, in a braoder sense.
I'm about to start my Masters Degree in Interactive Arts at The Technical University
of British Columbia in Canada, and as you might have noticed, I run my own
online pop culture magazine/community.
I'm now interested in studying online communities, how we can develop and how
to bring creative content to them, through both internet and wireless formats,
as well as how to have them support this content - not only in a participatory
sense, but also financially.
I know this to be a bit of a feat at present, especially here in North America,
where people want entertainment and creative content, but don't want to pay
for it.
I'm interested in finding out what you are doing in Europe, from all angles:
what technology people are developing, how they are converting users to use
it, either online or through wireless means, how creatives developer and techies
are financing these projects, and are users are paying for the content (like
they pay for movies or theatre or cds), if so, how is the money being collected(what's
the revenue model?).
1)I want to find a way to pay my writers and video people on my site, but also
want to share these ideas with other creative content producers out there;
2)I want to develop or be involved in the development of new ways and formats
to deliver creative content - you seem to be apart of that movement in some
way in Europe, which seems to be ahead of North America in the area of creative
and artistic web content development, as well as in the new wireless format(not
to mention in other cultural and social ways).
This is my area of interest. Can you point me in the right direction or give
me some feedback on this issue?
