total fabrication pretenting to be Nostradamas to demonstate how Nostramdamas
himself could have faked his predictions:

BOVINE LIFE ? ICE ELECTRICS, TRAVELLING WITHOUT MOVING WITHIN THE ARCTIC
CIRCLE?

Dear Friend, this is a call for help.

My name is Chris Dooks, AKA ?Bovine Life,? ? a Scottish based film maker,
musician and multimedia artist.

Recently, I released SOCIAL ELECTRICS ? an album of electronic music
collaborations with folks from around the world via the net. Bip hop records
of France released 2000 of these albums in September 2001 (see
www.bip-hop.com)?

It was an album which saw me give the middle finger to my disability (?M.E.?
? see www.afme.org.uk) which saps me of energy and has stopped my ability to
hold down a ?proper? job and so I have to make art projects on my own terms.
I couldn?t move far from my computer so I made the internet the conduit for
reaching out to other artists, making connections, collaborations in sound.
I loved it. I travel a lot now, but rarely move from my apartment.

I am doing it again. But this time I want to limit my search to artists on
the fringes of the arctic circle. I want to begin really informal dialogues
with creative people of any discipline (but especially sound) to begin to
make work with for the release of ICE ELECTRICS (working title) ? an
eventual double CD of 1) musical collaborations and 2) a freeform
documentary about the process on CD 2

Are you an artist in the arctic circle (this is a loose geography as far as
I am concerned) ? Do you know any creative people that have never really had
the chance to make work like this ? the process is completely open and free,
and embryonic at this stage? Do you know Alaskan maverick sound artists ?
Can you contact Icelandic free thinking creatives ? Maybe the tiny
population of Greenland has something to offer me and the project ? Do you
stay out all night recording the northern lights ? maybe the sun never sets
where you live ? Are you literally on top of the world ? Do you have a loose
connection with the arctic circle - maybe you don't live there but for some
reason, those geographies are sacred to you ?
