Streaming Media + Live Chat + Multiple Sites + Remote Collaboration
Currently being presented as part of the Mediaterra Festival - Pilot
Operating Net programme. SiTE TraNsacT is an online interface representing
the UK node of a trans-global project called Transaction. Currently in
development, Transaction aims to investigate human relationships in
community contexts, set against the now prevalent televirtual and
electronically mediated living experience. SiTE TraNsacT presents online
video archives, images, text and technical diagrams, in order to trace
developments as they occur across three continents.
Live Chat
Live mediated chat sessions scheduled for September, October and November
provide the opportunity for geographically distant collaborators and
audiences to collectively experience and participate in the work.
Join the artists and producers of transaction online for discussion and
debate. Relevant topics have been outlined below in order to structure the
chat sessions. An HTML chat interface has been designed specifically for
plugin free participation possible with virtually any specification machine
and low speed internet connections.
