you cant register as a new customer? really?

I was wondering about how napster was going to implement this pay as you download system on people who had already installed the software, but that seems to have been dropped (officially napster say "We will continue to work for a resolution that preserves the Napster community and the file sharing experience") for the moment in favour of this system where artists complain and they then get blocked via the search (yet you can evade this by cutting names short or mispelling them).

this is really stupid of napster to block people because already numbers have dropped in the community. Tonight looking at my console stats they're are on average 8574 people on line with napster. Now this is saturday night (12.20 here in france) so what middle of the day in america? the busiest time normally on napster. before the courtcase on a busy night they're would have been about 13000 at this time.

if napster are going to block people, those who have'nt already gone over to an alternative such as limewire are going to change fast and all new potential users will not even consider napster. the money system might come in, who knows, but if things continue the way they are going, in 6 months napsters community will be sparse!
